Quick summary
This demo shows how to upload, share, and track documents in HubSpot's Documents tool so sales reps can monitor prospect engagement in real time. You can generate a trackable link, send it to recipients, and receive notifications whenever the document is viewed.
Steps
- Log in to your HubSpot account and navigate to your main dashboard.
- Click Sales from the left sidebar, then select Documents from the dropdown list.
- Click Upload document to add new files to your Documents library.
- Select a file from your local storage (Your computer) and upload it to HubSpot.
- Filter documents by clicking Owner: Any to find the right file.
- Choose the uploaded file and click Create link to generate a shareable link.
- Enter the recipient's email to share the document using the tracking link provided by HubSpot.
- Hit Create link again to finalize your shareable document link.
- Click Copy to grab the link and share it wherever you need.
- Return to the Documents tool and check view activity to monitor engagement.
- HubSpot will now track when your documents are viewed and notify you of engagement.
