Steps
- Go to studio.youtube.com and click Content in the left sidebar.
- Click the title or thumbnail of the video you want to test.
- In the video details page, click the three-dot option under the Thumbnail section, then click A/B Testing.
- Click Add thumbnail to upload an alternate thumbnail — you can add up to two additional options alongside your current thumbnail.
- Click Set test to begin; YouTube will split impressions across your thumbnail variations.
- Click Save, then return to the video details page after a few days to review click-through rate data for each thumbnail.
