Use this interactive demo to learn how to delete a team member from your Postman workspace.

Quick summary

To remove a team member from a Postman workspace, navigate to Manage Team settings and use the Delete button to revoke their access instantly. This process takes under a minute and ensures the removed user can no longer view or interact with your shared workspace.

Steps

  1. In Postman's main workspace, go to the top-right corner and click the drop-down arrow next to Upgrade.
  2. Click Manage Team to open your team settings.
  3. Hover over the team member you want to remove, then click the Delete button next to their name.
  4. Click Remove Member to confirm and complete the removal.
  5. The selected team member is now removed and will lose access to your workspace immediately.

📌 Why this matters

Managing team membership in Postman is essential for maintaining workspace security and controlling who has access to sensitive API collections and environments. The ability to quickly remove team members ensures that when collaborators leave a project or organization, their access is revoked immediately, reducing the risk of unauthorized data exposure. Postman's built-in team management tools make it straightforward for workspace admins to keep their API development environment secure and properly governed. This feature is critical for teams operating under compliance requirements or managing contractor and temporary-staff access.
