How to Remove Summary Task in Microsoft Project

To remove a summary task in Microsoft Project, select the task row, right-click the cell number, and use Delete Task from the context menu to permanently eliminate it from your project plan.

Steps

1. Choose and select the summary task you want to remove.
2. Click on the cell number and right-click your mouse to open the options menu.
