How to Read the Semrush Dashboard

Steps

  1. Navigate to Domain Overview in the left sidebar of the Semrush interface.
  2. Enter the target website URL in the search field and click Search to pull up the domain report.
  3. Review the Domain Authority Score, which indicates the overall backlink health of the domain.
  4. Check the Organic Search Traffic metric to see an approximation of the organic visitors flowing to the website.
  5. Review the total backlinks count to understand how many external sites link to the domain.
  6. Scroll down to find an overview of the organic keywords the domain is currently ranking for.
  7. Examine the Organic Positions graph to see the domain's placement across Google SERP positions.
  8. Scroll to the bottom of the page to locate the Backlinks section.
  9. Review the Backlinks section to see a full list of all websites that link to the domain.
