This tutorial shows how to build a Zapier automation that detects new Instagram tags and mentions and instantly forwards them as Telegram messages using a no-code Zap workflow. By connecting Instagram For Business as the trigger and Telegram as the action, you can monitor brand mentions in real time without manually checking the app.
Steps
- Head over to the left-side panel and tap Create to start building a new Zap.
- Select Zaps from the list of options.
- Tap the Trigger tab to begin the integration setup process.
- Search for Instagram and choose Instagram For Business from the suggested results.
- Click Trigger Event to open the event selection menu.
- Pick New Tagged Media as the trigger event to monitor Instagram mentions and tags.
- Tap Sign In and log into your active Instagram account to connect it.
- Click Continue to accept the terms and grant the necessary permissions.
- Specify the Instagram account you want to monitor for tags or mentions in the trigger details.
- Tap Continue to run your input and test the Trigger.
- Click Continue one more time to proceed with creating the corresponding Telegram Action.
- Search for Telegram and select it as the Action app.
- Click the drop-down menu to view the available Action Event options.
- Pick Send Message from the given choices as the Telegram action event.
- Tap Sign In to connect your Telegram account.
- Enter the Bot Token associated with your Telegram account and click Yes, Continue to Telegram.
- Fill in the required input fields, including a Message Text that will alert you about new Instagram mentions or tags.
- Tap Continue to publish and enable the integration.
- Once complete, Instagram mention and tag data will be automatically pushed to Telegram, delivering real-time alerts for every new tag or mention.
