1. Open your PDF in Adobe Acrobat.
2. On the right-side pane, click More Tools.
3. Click Protect.
4. On the Protect tools above, click Protect Using Password
5. Select whether you want your user to enter a password for Viewing or Editing.
6. Type your password
7. Click Apply.‍
8. Click Close to exit Protect options.
