Use this interactive demo to learn how to connect and manage multiple social profiles in one place.

Quick summary

Sprout Social lets you connect multiple social media accounts — including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter — and manage them from a single dashboard. Once profiles are added, teams can use the Smart Inbox and Profile Selector to monitor, publish, and respond across all accounts without switching platforms.

Steps

  1. Click on Accounts & Settings in the bottom left of the dashboard.
  2. Select Settings from the dropdown menu.
  3. Click on Group & Social Profiles to view and manage all your connected social accounts.
  4. Click the Add Profile button to begin connecting a new social media account.
  5. Choose which social network you want to add — Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, or others.
  6. Follow the authentication steps required by your selected social platform to establish the connection.
  7. Once added, use the Profile Selector at the top of any publishing window to switch between accounts.
  8. Use Smart Inbox to view and respond to messages across all connected accounts.
  9. Navigate back to Groups & Social Profiles to manage connected accounts and team permissions.
  10. Click View Profile to see details of a specific connected account.
  11. Set up unique Publishing Permissions for team members under Settings > Users & Social Profiles.

📌 Why this matters

Managing multiple social media accounts across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter is a core challenge for social media teams and agencies. Sprout Social centralizes all connected profiles into a single dashboard, allowing teams to publish content, monitor engagement, and respond to messages without switching between apps. The Smart Inbox unifies all incoming messages from every connected account into one stream, dramatically reducing response times and missed interactions. Role-based publishing permissions also ensure the right team members have the right level of access to each social profile, making cross-platform social media management scalable and secure.
