Logging emails in Salesforce keeps your CRM records up to date by capturing every customer communication against the right Lead, Contact, or Opportunity. Sending an email directly from Salesforce's Activity Timeline triggers automatic logging with no extra steps required.
Steps
- Open a Lead, Contact, or Opportunity tab from the top menu of the dashboard or from the App Launcher.
- Click an object from the selected tab menu to open its record.
- Click Email from the Activity Timeline section of the record.
- Send the email from Salesforce, and it will be automatically logged to the record.
