Logging a call in Salesforce lets sales reps capture call details directly on a Lead, Contact, or Opportunity record. Using the Log a Call action keeps your CRM activity history accurate and up to date without leaving the platform.
Steps
- Open a Lead, Contact, or Opportunity tab from the top menu of the dashboard or from the App Launcher.
- Click an object from the selected tab menu to open its record.
- On the top right, click the dropdown beside the Edit button.
- Select Log a Call from the dropdown menu.
- Fill in the required details inside the dialog box, then click Save to record the call under that record.
