Use this interactive demo to learn how to connect Jira tickets directly to your Coda tasks.

Quick summary

Linking Jira tickets to Coda tasks lets teams track engineering issues alongside project work in a single view. Using the Jira Pack in Coda, you can connect your Atlassian account and sync issue data directly into any Coda table column.

Steps

  1. Inside the Coda card containing the task you want to integrate, select the Add Column option.
  2. Hover over the Packs option in the column menu and click Jira.
  3. Select the specific Issue action you want to carry out on the linked ticket.
  4. Tap the Column Settings icon to configure the Jira integration properly.
  5. Click Edit Column to proceed with the configuration.
  6. Under the Account section, click Connect an Account to begin authentication.
  7. Tap Sign In With Jira and log into your active Atlassian account.
  8. Click Accept to agree with the terms and grant the necessary permissions.
  9. Tap the Plus icon beside the Jira site you want to connect.
  10. Enter the Jira issue key or URL into the provided input field.
  11. Specify your preferred Results Column or add more options related to the selected issue action.
  12. The selected Jira ticket will be linked to your Coda task according to your input.

📌 Why this matters

Linking Jira tickets to Coda tasks eliminates the context-switching that slows down cross-functional teams. When engineering work tracked in Jira is surfaced directly inside a Coda task tracker, project managers and developers share a single source of truth without leaving their preferred tool. The Coda Jira Pack integration lets teams automate issue lookups, status updates, and data syncing at the row level, reducing manual updates and keeping projects aligned in real time. This is essential for any team that runs sprint planning, bug tracking, or product roadmaps across both platforms.
