Linking cells in Smartsheet lets you pull live data from one sheet into another, keeping information automatically in sync without manual updates. Use the built-in Cell Linking feature to create a source-cell connection across sheets directly from the Grid View.
Steps
- Open your sheet in Smartsheet's Grid View and select the destination cell where the linked data should appear.
- Navigate to the top menu bar and click the More Options button.
- Tap Cell Linking from the dropdown to open the cell linking panel.
- Choose the source sheet that contains the cell you want to link from.
- Browse the selected sheet and click the source cell you want to use as the data origin.
- Click Create Link to confirm and establish the cell link.
- The source cell from the other sheet is now linked to your destination cell and will stay in sync automatically.
