Here’s simple and  a quick trick on how to kern using keyboard shortcuts in Adobe InDesign:

1. To kern letters in Adobe InDesign using keyboard shortcuts, place your cursor between the letters you want to adjust.
2. On a Mac, Press Option + Right Arrow to increase kerning or Option + Left Arrow to decrease kerning between the selected letters.

On Windows, Press Alt+ Arrow keys
