This tutorial shows how to integrate Trello with Google Docs by installing the Portant Document Merge Power-Up and using it to automatically generate and attach documents to Trello cards. Once connected, card data is merged into a Google Docs template and saved directly to the board.
Steps
- Under Your boards, click on the board you want to integrate with Google Docs.
- Click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the board.
- Select Power-Ups under the Menu tab.
- Search for Google Docs and click on Portant Document Merge, then click Add.
- Open a card on your board.
- Click on Portant under the Power-Ups tab inside the card.
- Select Google Docs Template, then follow the prompts to connect your Google account.
- Click Merge Card to Document to automatically create a document from the template and attach it to the card.
- Click the template name to open the generated document in Google Docs.
- Customize the file directly in Google Docs.
