Integrating Monday.com with Clockify through Zapier allows you to automatically create time entries or projects in Clockify when items are added or updated in your Monday.com board.
- Log in to your Zapier account and open your automation dashboard.
- Click the Create Zap button at the top left of the page.
- Click the Trigger button and search for Monday.com in the app list.
- Select Monday.com as the trigger app for your automation.
- Click Select or Sign in and connect your Monday.com account.
- Enter your API key when prompted to authorize the connection.
- To get your API token, open your Monday.com account in a new tab, click your name at the top right corner, and select Developers from the dropdown menu.
- Open the API token section and copy your token.
- Choose the trigger event New Item so the Zap runs whenever a new item is created on your board.
- Start mapping the required details, such as the board and other trigger fields, then click Continue with selected record.
- Select Clockify as your action app to create time entries automatically.
- Click Sign in to connect your Clockify account to Zapier.
- Click the API key field—you'll need to grab this from Clockify.
- Open Clockify in a new tab by clicking your profile icon in the top right, and select Preferences.
- Select the Advanced tab to access API settings, and click Manage API keys to view or create your token.
- Click GENERATE NEW to create a fresh API key for Zapier.
- Click Copy and paste the API key into Zapier to complete the connection.
- Click on the action event, and choose an item from the list.
- Map the fields between Monday.com item data and the Clockify time entry details.
- Click Publish to activate your Zap and start automating.
- All set! Your Zap will now create Clockify tasks from Monday.com items automatically.
