Integrating Monday.com with ChatGPT through Zapier allows you to automatically send board data to ChatGPT to generate summaries, responses, or task descriptions.
- Log in to your Zapier account and open your automation dashboard.
- Click the Create Zap button at the top left of the page.
- Click the Trigger button and search for Monday.com in the app list.
- Select Monday.com as the trigger app for your automation.
- Click Select or Sign in and connect your Monday.com account.
- Enter your API key when prompted to authorize the connection.
- To get your API token, open your Monday.com account in a new tab, click your name at the top right corner, and select Developers from the dropdown menu.
- Open the API token section and copy your token.
- Choose the trigger event New Item so the Zap runs whenever a new item is created on your board.
- Start mapping the required details, such as the board and other trigger fields, then click Continue with selected record.
- Search for ChatGPT and select it as the action app.
- Click on Action Event, then choose an event (e.g., Analyze Text) from the dropdown list to define what ChatGPT will do.
- In the pop-up window, you will be asked for your OpenAI API Key and Organization ID.
- Open your OpenAI dashboard in a new tab, go to the API Keys section, copy your API Key and Organization ID, and paste them into Zapier to authorize the connection.
- Click Action Event and select the ChatGPT action you want from the dropdown list.
- Click Continue to move forward with your action setup.
- Enter your prompt and map Monday.com fields into the message input.
- Hit Publish to activate your Zap and start automating.
- Review your completed Zap with Monday.com and ChatGPT connected and ready to work together.
