Use this interactive demo to learn how to connect Asana tasks with Typeform responses via Zapier.

Quick summary

This tutorial walks you through integrating Asana with Typeform using a Zapier Zap, so that Asana events can automatically trigger actions in Typeform without manual effort. The entire setup takes just minutes and requires no coding — only your Asana and Typeform account credentials.

Steps

  1. Log in to Zapier, click "Create," and select "Zaps" to begin building your automation.
  2. Click "Trigger" to open the trigger configuration panel.
  3. Search for "Asana" and select it as the Trigger App.
  4. Choose a trigger event under Asana to define what activates the Zap.
  5. Sign in to your Asana account and click "Continue" to authorize the connection.
  6. Select a value under "Workspace / Organization" and click "Continue" to proceed.
  7. Click "Test trigger" to verify that Asana is returning data correctly.
  8. Click "Continue with selected record" to confirm the trigger data and move to the action step.
  9. Search for and select "Typeform" as the action app.
  10. Choose an action event under Typeform to define what happens when the trigger fires.
  11. Sign in to your Typeform account to authorize the connection.
  12. After signing in, click "Accept" to grant Zapier the necessary permissions.
  13. Complete and customize the required fields to map Asana data to your Typeform action.
  14. Click "Test step" to confirm the Typeform action works as expected.
  15. After a successful test, click "Publish" to activate the Asana–Typeform integration.

📌 Why this matters

Integrating Asana with Typeform via Zapier eliminates the need for manual data transfer between your project management and form tools, saving teams significant time on repetitive tasks. When a new task or event occurs in Asana, Zapier automatically triggers the corresponding action in Typeform, keeping workflows synchronized in real time. This no-code automation is ideal for teams that collect form responses and need them instantly reflected in task management pipelines. By connecting Asana and Typeform, organizations can streamline data collection, improve cross-team collaboration, and reduce human error across their productivity stack.
