Use this interactive demo to learn how to sync ActiveCampaign contacts with Google Contacts via a Zap.

Quick summary

This guide shows you how to integrate ActiveCampaign with Google Contacts using Zapier by creating a Zap that automatically syncs contact data between the two platforms. Once set up, any trigger event in ActiveCampaign will instantly push the relevant contact information to your Google Contacts account.

Steps

  1. Head over to the left-side panel, then click Create.
  2. Select Zaps from the list of options.
  3. Click Trigger to start the integration process.
  4. Find and select ActiveCampaign from the available integration options.
  5. Choose your preferred Trigger Event from the dropdown.
  6. Tap Sign In to connect your ActiveCampaign account.
  7. Enter your ActiveCampaign API credentials and click Yes, Continue to ActiveCampaign.
  8. Provide the information needed to set up the Trigger.
  9. Tap Continue to run your inputs and test the Trigger.
  10. Click Continue With Selected Record to confirm the test data.
  11. Search for Google Contacts and choose it as the Action app.
  12. Click the drop-down menu and specify your preferred Action Event.
  13. Tap Sign In and log into your Google account.
  14. Click Continue to proceed with the Google Contacts setup.
  15. Fill out the input fields with the required contact mapping information.
  16. Tap Continue to publish and activate the integration.
  17. Your ActiveCampaign account is now integrated with Google Contacts and will sync automatically.

📌 Why this matters

Integrating ActiveCampaign with Google Contacts via Zapier eliminates the need for manual contact syncing between your email marketing platform and your contact management system. When a trigger event fires in ActiveCampaign — such as a new subscriber or updated contact — the Zap automatically creates or updates the corresponding record in Google Contacts, keeping your data consistent across tools. This automation saves time, reduces data entry errors, and ensures your sales and marketing teams always have access to up-to-date contact information. It is an essential workflow for any team looking to streamline their CRM and email marketing operations without writing a single line of code.
