Importing an email list in Mailchimp lets you quickly add contacts from external sources — including CSV files, third-party services, or a copied list — directly into your Audience. The process takes just a few clicks through the Mailchimp dashboard using the built-in Import contacts workflow.
Steps
- Log in to your Mailchimp account and navigate to the Audience section.
- Click All contacts to view your current contact list.
- Expand the Add contacts drop-down menu.
- Click Import contacts to begin the import process.
- Review the available import methods: connect an external service like Gmail, Salesforce, or Eventbrite; upload a CSV or TXT file; or copy and paste a list of contacts directly.
- Choose your preferred import method, click Continue, and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the import.
