Steps

  1. Navigate to the Audience section in the Klaviyo dashboard, where all your customer data is stored.
  2. Open Lists & Segments to manage and organize contacts for targeted marketing campaigns.
  3. Click Create New to begin building a new list or segment for your audience.
  4. Select Create list to set up a dedicated subscriber list for your campaigns.
  5. Enter a descriptive list name that clearly reflects the list's purpose or audience type.
  6. Click Select tags to add tags that categorize your list for better organization and searchability.
  7. Create a new tag to identify the list's purpose or its association with a specific campaign.
  8. Confirm the list name and tags, then click Create list to finalize the new list.
  9. Click Upload contacts to begin adding subscribers to your newly created list.
  10. Click Upload to submit your contact file for import.
  11. Click Next to proceed to the import mapping step.
  12. Confirm your choice to proceed with the configured import settings.
  13. Enable email marketing for this audience to allow sending campaigns and automated flows.
  14. Enable SMS to add multi-channel engagement capabilities for this audience.
  15. Click Import to finalize and add all contacts to your marketing list.
