Quick summary
To identify the type of sandbox in Salesforce, navigate to Setup via the gear icon, then use the Quick Find box to search for Sandboxes — the resulting table displays the sandbox type for each environment directly in a dedicated column.
Steps
- Click the gear icon at the top right of the dashboard.
- Select Settings or Open Advanced Setup from the dropdown menu.
- In the Quick Find search box, type and select Sandboxes.
- Review the Sandboxes table — the column displaying the sandbox type gives you the most direct and reliable identification method.
