Follow these easy steps:
- Open your Microsoft Project file and ensure you're viewing the 'Gantt Chart' view. This is where we'll highlight the critical path to identify tasks that directly impact your project deadline.
- Click on the 'Format' tab in the ribbon at the top of your screen. This tab contains all the visual customization options we need for displaying the critical path clearly.
- Look for the 'Bar Styles' group and check the 'Critical Tasks' checkbox. This tells Project to visually distinguish the critical path tasks from regular tasks.
- Your critical path tasks now appear highlighted in red on the Gantt chart.
