Quick summary
Ahrefs Site Audit lets you crawl your website to detect technical SEO issues, broken links, and on-page errors. Setting up a new crawl project takes just a few minutes and can be scheduled to run automatically at a custom frequency.
Steps
- Go to Ahrefs and click on Site Audit in the top navigation.
- Click New Project to begin creating a crawl project.
- Import data using Google Search Console to enrich the crawl with existing performance data.
- If you lack Search Console access, click Add manually to enter your site details directly.
- Enter your website URL, give the project an appropriate Project name, then hit Continue.
- Click Continue to skip the Search Console data step if it was not completed in the previous step.
- Toggle the Frequency setting to schedule how often future crawls will run automatically.
- Ensure Run first crawl now is turned ON, then click Continue to start the initial crawl.
- The website crawl will begin — note that this is a lengthy process that can take up to an hour or more to complete.
- Once the crawl finishes, open your project in Site Audit to review all detected issues.
