The Notion API key (also called an access token) lets external tools and integrations connect securely to your Notion workspace. You can retrieve it in minutes through the Notion developer portal via Settings and Connections.
Steps
- Click your workspace name in the top-left corner of Notion.
- In the dropdown menu, click Settings.
- In the settings panel, click Connections.
- In the Connections panel, click Manage.
- Click Go to developer portal in the top-right corner of the panel.
- In the Developer panel, click Connections.
- Click Manage beside the workspace name you want to get the API key for.
- Copy the access token by clicking Copy to clipboard.
- Your Notion API key is now ready to use — keep it private and only share the connection with pages that need API access.
