How to Flatten Transparency in Adobe InDesign

In Adobe InDesign, transparency is flattened during PDF export by choosing a compatibility setting that doesn’t support transparency (like PDF/X-1a:2001) or by using high-resolution flattener presets. Here are the steps:

1. To flatten transparency in Adobe InDesign, export the file by going to 'File' → 'Export.'
2. An Export dialog box will appear; choose Adobe PDF (Print) as the format, then click 'Save' in Adobe InDesign
3. Now, the Export Adobe PDF panel will open; navigate to the panel’s right-side menu and select Advanced.‍
4. Set the Transparency Flattener preset to High Resolution.
