This tutorial shows how to use Ahrefs Keywords Explorer to discover long-tail keywords with low Keyword Difficulty by filtering Matching Terms and switching to Questions mode for targeted SEO opportunities.
Steps
- Head over to Keywords Explorer on Ahrefs.
- Enter a seed keyword and hit search (e.g. product marketing).
- Go to Matching Terms under Keyword Ideas in the left pane.
- Click on KD (Keyword Difficulty) to open the filter.
- Set a low upper limit like 20 and hit Apply.
- Click Show results to load the filtered keyword list.
- Change All Terms to Questions to surface question-based long-tail keywords.
- Review your long-tail keywords in the results list.
- Hit the Export button in the top right to download a CSV file of your keyword list.
