Quick summary
This demo shows how to export data from a Power BI visual to a CSV file using the built-in Export data option. In just a few clicks from the Report View, you can download your visual's underlying data for use in Excel or any other tool.
Steps
- In the Power BI Report View, hover over the visual you want to export.
- Click the three dots (more options menu) in the top-right corner of the visual.
- Select Export data from the dropdown menu.
- In the export dialog, set the file format to CSV and click Save.
- Open the downloaded file — the CSV file will be saved to your system automatically.
