Use this interactive demo to learn how to bulk export your Salesforce contacts using Reports.

Quick summary

To export all contacts from Salesforce, you create a new Accounts & Contacts report and use the built-in Export option to download your data. This method works without third-party tools and gives you full control over the export format.

Steps

  1. Click the Reports tab at the top of the dashboard, or open it from the App Launcher.
  2. Select New Report to start building a fresh report.
  3. In report types, select Accounts & Contacts or Contacts & Accounts as the report type.
  4. Click Continue to proceed to the report builder.
  5. Within the Accounts & Contacts report, click Save at the top of the table.
  6. Return to the Reports homepage, select the Accounts and Contacts list report, then open the dropdown on the right side.
  7. Select Export from the dropdown menu.
  8. Choose your export format, then click Export to download your contacts.

📌 Why this matters

Salesforce is the world's leading CRM platform, and the ability to export all contacts is a critical workflow for sales, marketing, and operations teams who need to sync data with external tools, create backups, or run offline analyses. This demo shows the exact steps to generate and download a complete Salesforce contact list using the native Reports feature — no third-party integrations required. Understanding how to export Salesforce contacts helps teams maintain data portability, comply with data governance policies, and keep downstream systems up to date.
