Use this interactive demo to learn how to enable scrolling by default in Adobe Acrobat.

‍

‍

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to enable scrolling by default in Adobe Acrobat:

‍

  1. Open your Adobe Acrobat.
  2. On the menu bar, click Edit, then click Preferences.
  3. Select Accessibility from the list.
  4. Check Always Use Page Layout Style, then set it to Single Page Continuous
  5. Click OK.

📌 Why this matters

Enabling default scrolling transforms how you navigate PDFs by letting you flow continuously through documents instead of jumping between individual pages. This becomes particularly valuable when working with lengthy reports, contracts, or research papers where you need to maintain context across page breaks.

The continuous view also makes it easier to search for information and follow arguments that span multiple pages, since you can see content relationships that would otherwise be fragmented by traditional page-by-page viewing.
