Use this interactive demo to learn how to embed custom fonts in your Adobe Acrobat documents.

‍

‍

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to embed fonts in Adobe Acrobat

‍

  1. Open your PDF file in Adobe Acrobat.
  2. Click File, then click Print.
  3. Choose Adobe PDF as the printer, then click Properties.
  4. Navigate to the Adobe PDF Settings tab, then click Edit. (next to Default Settings)
  5. On Adobe PDF Settings, click Fonts.
  6. Check Embed all fonts, then click OK.‍
  7. Enter a file name, choose a save location, then click Save.

📌 Why this matters

Embedding fonts prevents your carefully formatted documents from looking broken when opened on computers that don't have your chosen typefaces installed. Without embedding, recipients see substitute fonts that can shift layouts, change spacing, and make your document look unprofessional.

This becomes crucial when you're sharing contracts, portfolios, or branded materials where visual consistency directly impacts credibility. Beyond appearance, embedded fonts ensure that form fields, annotations, and interactive elements maintain their intended positioning, preventing functional issues that could derail important document workflows.
