Quick summary
Salesforce lets you edit a report description directly from the Reports tab by accessing the report's Properties panel. This keeps your CRM data well-documented and helps team members understand each report's purpose at a glance.
Steps
- Click the Reports tab at the top menu or within the App Launcher on your dashboard.
- Choose a report to open.
- Click Edit in the top-right corner of the selected report page.
- Click the dropdown beside Save and select Properties.
- Go to the Report Description section, make the necessary edits, then click Save to apply the changes.
