Quick summary
Salesforce Lightning page layouts control which fields, buttons, and related lists appear on a record page. Admins can edit page layouts directly through the Object Manager in Setup, then save changes to update the user experience instantly.
Steps
- Click the gear icon in the top-right corner of the dashboard to open the settings menu.
- Select Open Advanced Setup from the dropdown menu.
- Click Object Manager at the top of the Setup page.
- Select an object from the list to open its configuration options.
- Choose Page Layouts from the left-hand sidebar menu.
- Select a layout, then hover your cursor over the dropdown located on the right side of the row.
- Click Edit from the dropdown options to open the layout editor.
- Make the necessary edits to the layout, then click Save to apply all changes.
