Here’s how to do it:
- First, open your Microsoft Project file and switch to the 'Gantt Chart' view, which displays tasks as bars along a timeline.
- Next, navigate to the 'Format' tab in the ribbon under 'Gantt Chart Tools'. This tab contains all the visualization options we'll need to identify the critical path.
- In the 'Bar Styles' group, locate and check the box for 'Critical Tasks'. This will highlight all tasks that have zero float and constitute your project's critical path.
- There you go! Critical path tasks now appear in red on the Gantt chart. These tasks require your closest attention since any delay in them will directly impact your project's end date.
