Salesforce does not allow permanent user deletion, but admins can deactivate a user account through Advanced Setup to immediately revoke access. This step-by-step process uses the Users settings in Salesforce Setup to disable the Active field on any user record.
Steps
- Click the gear icon at the top right of the Salesforce dashboard.
- Select Open Advanced Setup from the dropdown menu.
- In the Quick Find search box, search for and select Users.
- Select a user from the list, then click the dropdown menu on the right side.
- Choose Edit User from the dropdown options.
- Scroll down to the Active field and disable it to deactivate the user.
- Click OK to confirm and fully deactivate the user account.
