Here’s a quick guide on how to delete image background using anchor points in Adobe InDesign:
- To delete an image background using anchor points in InDesign, go to the left-hand toolbar and click the 'Pen tool.'
- Using the tool, add your first point, which will serve as the starting anchor point.
- Add more points, tracing the part of the image you want to keep.
- Once you have traced the part of the image you want to keep, connect your path to the frame using anchor points. Add points to all corners of the frame.
- Once you have added points to all corners and reached your starting anchor point, close the path by clicking on the first point.
- Your image outline should look like this (see image). Then, use the Selection tool from the left-hand toolbar to select the image.
- Once the image is selected, go to the top menu and click 'Object' → 'Pathfinder' → 'Subtract' to remove the background.
- You have successfully deleted the image background using anchor points in InDesign.
