A Table of Contents in Confluence automatically generates navigation links from your page headings, making long pages easier to browse. You can insert and customize it in seconds using the slash-command menu and the Basic or Advanced settings panel.
Steps
- Open the Confluence page where you want to add the Table of Contents.
- Type /table of contents anywhere on the page, then select it from the menu to insert the macro.
- In the right-side panel, select Basic to customize the standard display settings for your table of contents.
- Click the Advanced tab to access additional controls such as indent headings and keyword-based heading filters.
