This guide shows you how to create a custom GPT in ChatGPT specifically designed to generate welcome email sequences. You will configure its name, instructions, conversation starters, and knowledge files before publishing the GPT for use.
Steps
- On ChatGPT's main interface, open the left-side panel and click Explore GPTs.
- Click Create at the top-right corner to begin building a new GPT.
- Switch the tab from Create to Configure to access the full setup options.
- Click the Add icon to upload a display photo that represents your welcome email sequence GPT.
- Enter a unique Name and Description for your GPT into their respective input fields.
- Click the Instructions field and write a comprehensive description covering the GPT's profile, behavior, function, and capability.
- Add relevant prompt examples into the Conversation Starters input field one by one.
- Click Upload Files under the Knowledge section to import any external documents you want the GPT to reference.
- Review the Capabilities section and tick the checkboxes for the GPT functions you want to enable, and optionally configure Actions for third-party app integrations.
- In the Preview Area, enter a test prompt and click Submit to evaluate your GPT's output.
- If satisfied with the results, click Create at the top-right corner to finalize your GPT.
- Select your preferred access configuration and tap Save to continue.
- Once published, click View GPT to access your newly created welcome email sequence GPT.
