Use this interactive demo to learn how to build a habit tracker inside Notion using a simple table.

Quick summary

A Notion habit tracker lets you log and monitor daily routines inside a structured table database, making it easy to stay consistent and review progress at a glance. You can customize columns for any habit and update rows daily to mark tasks as done.

Steps

  1. Click the plus (+) button on the left side of a blank block to open the block menu.
  2. In the block menu, click Table to insert a new table block.
  3. Add a new property to the table to capture additional information about your habits.
  4. Add habit names as columns, such as Team training, Meetings, Follow up with leads, or Review client emails.
  5. Add dates as rows in the first column to represent each day.
  6. Label each completed day Done when you finish a habit to track your progress.
  7. Your habit tracker is now ready — update it daily as you complete each habit.

📌 Why this matters

Building a habit tracker in Notion gives individuals and teams a flexible, no-code way to monitor daily routines without switching between apps. Notion's table block makes it simple to log habits like meetings, training, and follow-ups in one centralized workspace. Tracking completion with a clear "Done" label creates accountability and makes streaks and gaps immediately visible. This approach turns Notion into a lightweight productivity system that scales from personal goals to team-wide habit monitoring.
