Use this interactive demo to learn how to build and publish a form view in Airtable.

Quick summary

Airtable's form view lets you collect data directly into a base by turning table fields into shareable form questions. You can create a form in minutes by adding a Form view from the Views panel and customizing the fields your respondents will fill out.

Steps

  1. Click on the Views option in the left sidebar to open the view panel.
  2. Click on the Form option within the Views panel to see form-related view types.
  3. Click on Create a form view to initiate a new form based on your current table.
  4. Click on Create a new view to confirm and set up the form view in your base.
  5. Enter all the details of the questions you need, filling in the form field settings for each question.
  6. Click on Add a field to this table to insert any additional fields required in the form.
  7. Press the Submit button to finalize and create the form.

📌 Why this matters

Airtable's built-in form view eliminates the need for third-party form tools by letting teams collect structured data directly into a base. Any response submitted through an Airtable form is instantly recorded as a new record, keeping data clean and centralized without manual entry. This makes Airtable forms ideal for use cases like intake requests, event registrations, surveys, and bug reports. Teams that adopt Airtable form views reduce data silos and accelerate workflows by connecting data collection and project management in a single platform.
