Use this interactive demo to learn how to add a cover photo to any Coda doc page.

Quick summary

A Coda cover page lets you add a custom cover photo to any doc, making it easier to visually organize and brand your workspace. You can upload an image, toggle the cover photo setting from Page options, and reposition it in just a few clicks.

Steps

  1. Navigate to your Coda doc from the docs home screen.
  2. Hover over the page name at the top of the page and select Page options.
  3. Toggle on the Cover photo setting from the Page options panel.
  4. Click Upload Image to select a file as your cover photo.
  5. To reposition the image, click the three vertical dots in the lower right corner of the image.
  6. Click Reposition to adjust the cover photo placement.

📌 Why this matters

Adding a cover page in Coda allows teams to visually distinguish docs at a glance, improving navigation and doc organization across workspaces. The cover photo feature in Coda lets users upload custom images and reposition them without any design tools, making professional-looking docs accessible to everyone. This is especially valuable for teams managing multiple projects in Coda who want to create a consistent, branded document experience. Enabling a Coda cover photo takes under a minute using the built-in Page options panel.
