Cloning an opportunity in Salesforce lets you quickly duplicate an existing deal record, saving time when creating similar opportunities. This built-in Clone feature is accessible from any opportunity's detail page via the gear icon menu.
Steps
- Click the App Launcher at the top of your Salesforce dashboard.
- Scroll down and select Opportunities from the app menu.
- Choose the Opportunity you want to clone from the list.
- Click the gear icon at the top right of the opportunity record.
- Select Clone from the dropdown menu.
- Fill in the details, modify the clone settings, then click Save to create the duplicated opportunity.
