Use this interactive demo to learn how to view remaining Salesforce license counts in minutes.

Quick summary

To check remaining Salesforce licenses, navigate to Setup via the gear icon, open Company Information, and scroll to the User Licenses section to see total, used, and available counts. This method works for User Licenses, Feature Licenses, and Permission Set Licenses without any third-party tools.

Steps

  1. Click the gear icon in the top-right menu of your Salesforce dashboard to open Setup options.
  2. Select Open Advanced Setup from the dropdown menu that appears.
  3. In the Quick Find search box on the left sidebar, type and select Company Information.
  4. Scroll down to the User Licenses, Feature Licenses, and Permission Set Licenses sections to view Total Licenses, Used, and Remaining (Available) counts.

📌 Why this matters

Knowing how many Salesforce licenses remain is critical for IT admins and Salesforce administrators managing user provisioning and cost control. Overprovisioning unused licenses wastes budget, while running out of licenses blocks onboarding new users. The Company Information page in Salesforce Setup provides a single, authoritative view of User Licenses, Feature Licenses, and Permission Set Licenses — including total allocated, used, and remaining counts — without requiring custom reports or third-party tools. This makes license capacity planning fast, accurate, and accessible to any admin.
