📌 Why this matters

The 'View Dashboard As' setting in Salesforce gives administrators precise control over which user's data perspective is shown on a shared dashboard, ensuring that reports display accurate, role-appropriate information for every viewer. This feature is critical for sales operations teams who need to present pipeline data from a specific rep's or manager's point of view without switching accounts. Correctly configuring the dashboard viewer prevents data leakage and ensures stakeholders always see the right metrics. Mastering this setting helps Salesforce admins maintain data integrity and deliver reliable reporting across the organization.
