Use this interactive demo to learn how to create and publish an interactive Coda form connected to external systems.

Quick summary

Coda lets you build interactive forms directly inside your doc and link them to a Form Results table for structured data collection. Once customized and published, your Coda form can be shared via a shareable link or embedded into external websites and platforms.

Steps

  1. Inside your Coda doc, go to the top-right corner and click 'Insert'.
  2. Click the search bar in the Insert panel and type 'Form'.
  3. Select 'Form' from the choices under Tables and drag it to the main workspace.
  4. Enter a unique form name in the input field and use the floating bar to style it as desired.
  5. Go to the Form Results table and double-click each column header to edit and label it.
  6. Return to the form and click 'Edit Layout' to make further customizations.
  7. Review the default settings and adjust each input field to your preference.
  8. Click 'Done' to apply your layout changes.
  9. Click 'Publish Form' once you are satisfied with your form's configuration.
  10. Click 'Create Link' to generate a shareable URL for your form.
  11. Click 'Copy Link' to share your Coda form via social media, messages, or external data collection platforms.
  12. Click 'Advanced' and use the embed code if you want to add the form directly to a website or similar platform.

📌 Why this matters

Coda's interactive forms allow teams to collect structured data without leaving their existing docs, eliminating the need for separate form tools. By connecting form submissions directly to a built-in results table, Coda ensures that data flows seamlessly into your workflows the moment a response is submitted. The ability to publish forms via a shareable link or embed code means you can reach respondents across websites, social media, and third-party platforms with zero friction. This makes Coda forms an ideal solution for teams that need flexible, no-code data collection tightly integrated with their documents and processes.
