Coda lets you build interactive forms directly inside your doc and link them to a Form Results table for structured data collection. Once customized and published, your Coda form can be shared via a shareable link or embedded into external websites and platforms.
Steps
- Inside your Coda doc, go to the top-right corner and click 'Insert'.
- Click the search bar in the Insert panel and type 'Form'.
- Select 'Form' from the choices under Tables and drag it to the main workspace.
- Enter a unique form name in the input field and use the floating bar to style it as desired.
- Go to the Form Results table and double-click each column header to edit and label it.
- Return to the form and click 'Edit Layout' to make further customizations.
- Review the default settings and adjust each input field to your preference.
- Click 'Done' to apply your layout changes.
- Click 'Publish Form' once you are satisfied with your form's configuration.
- Click 'Create Link' to generate a shareable URL for your form.
- Click 'Copy Link' to share your Coda form via social media, messages, or external data collection platforms.
- Click 'Advanced' and use the embed code if you want to add the form directly to a website or similar platform.
