How To Authenticate Domain In SendGrid

Quick summary

Domain authentication in SendGrid proves to inbox providers that you own the domain you're sending from, improving email deliverability and reducing spam filtering. This process involves adding CNAME and TXT DNS records to your domain registrar so SendGrid can verify your sending identity.


Steps

  1. Log into your SendGrid account and go to Settings in the left panel.
  2. Find and select Sender Authentication.
  3. Click Get Started under Authenticate Your Domain.
  4. Select your DNS provider from the list (for example, Cloudflare).
  5. Click Next to proceed.
  6. Enter your website domain and click Next.
  7. Copy the generated DNS records, then go to your domain registrar (such as GoDaddy or Namecheap) and open DNS Management. Add a new CNAME record for each of the first three entries, add a new TXT record for the last entry, and paste the values exactly as shown.
