Make sure you have added resources in the resource Sheet, entered task durations, Linked tasks with dependencies. Here’s a simple, step-by-step guide to assigning resources in Microsoft Project:

1. In Gantt Chart view, select a task.
2. Go to the 'Resource' tab.
3. From the 'Assignments' group, select 'Assign Resources'.
4. From the 'Assignments' group, select 'Assign Resources'.
5. Click 'Assign' to confirm. The resource is now assigned to the task.
