Quick summary
Adding tasks to the Timeline in Microsoft Project gives you a high-level visual overview of your project schedule at a glance. You can right-click any task in the Gantt chart and instantly send it to the Timeline bar without manual configuration.
Steps
- Open your Project file and go to the View tab.
- Select Timeline by clicking the checkbox to enable the Timeline view in your project.
- Select the tasks you want to add to Timeline from the task list.
- Right-click the selected tasks and click Add to Timeline from the context menu.
- The task instantly appears at the top of the screen in the Timeline bar.
