How to Add HubSpot Chat to Website

Here's a step-by-step tutorial to add HubSpot chat to your website:

  1. Navigate to Automations>Chatflows
  2. Click on the Create chatflow button.
  3. In the chat flow builder, you can customize the following aspects of your chat widget:
  • Welcome message: This is the initial message visitors see when they open the chat.
  • Chat appearance: Design elements like colors, fonts, and chat window placement.
  • Offline settings: Messages and behavior when agents are unavailable.
  • Routing rules: Define which agents or chat queues receive chats based on criteria.
  1. Under the Assign to option, select a team member who will own chat interactions and put their Availability based on their working hours.
  2. You can show the reply time so your visitors know what to expect in terms of response time.
  3. Once you're happy with the design, click Preview to see how the chat widget will look on your website.
  4. If satisfied, head back to Automations>Chatflows and toggle the switch on to Add to website pages.
  5. Click on the Edit button and move to the Target tab.
  6. You can define page rules where the chat would be visible.
  7. You can select the display avatar in the Display tab.
