HubSpot's Chatflows feature lets you create and deploy a fully customized live chat widget on your website directly from the Automations menu. You can configure the welcome message, assign team members, set availability hours, define page-level targeting rules, and publish the chat widget — all without any coding.
Steps
- Navigate to Automations > Chatflows in your HubSpot account.
- Click the Create chatflow button to start building a new chat widget.
- Define the chat window color to match your brand colors.
- Preview the chatform on the right side as you continue building it.
- Set the welcome message — this is the initial message visitors see when they open the chat.
- Under the Assign to option, select a team member who will own chat interactions.
- Set your availability based on your working hours.
- Configure the reply time display so visitors know what to expect in terms of response time.
- Click the Publish button when you are satisfied with the chat widget configuration.
- Confirm the success dialog box appears after publishing.
- Ensure the STATUS toggle is switched ON for the chatflow to go live.
- Click the Edit button to make any further changes to the chatflow.
- Move to the Target tab to configure targeting settings.
- Define page rules to control which pages the chat widget is visible on.
- Select the display avatar in the Display tab to personalize the chat widget appearance.
