This tutorial shows how to add a dataset in Power BI by using the Get Data button to import a file and load it into a visualization. Once loaded, you can drag fields onto a visual to start exploring your data instantly.
Steps
- Navigate to the Home tab and click the Get Data button in the top left.
- Choose your data source from the available options.
- Select a file from your computer and click Open.
- Select the table you want to import and click Load.
- Open the Visualizations pane on the right side of the screen.
- Select a visual type to add it to your report canvas.
- Once loaded, drag fields from your dataset onto the visual to display your data.
