Adding a subtask in Microsoft Project is all about indentation. Here's how to do it:
- Let's start by opening Microsoft Project and creating a few tasks for your project.
- Now, add durations to your tasks to help with timeline planning.
- Click on the task you want to convert into a subtask. It should be positioned below its intended parent task.
- On the Task tab, find and click the 'Indent Task' button, it looks like a right-facing arrow.
- The selected task is now a subtask, and the task above automatically becomes its summary task.
